POLY TRAUMA RTA ACCIDENT

Poly Trauma RTA (Road Traffic Accident) refers to severe injuries involving multiple body systems sustained during a road traffic accident. It is a critical medical emergency that requires immediate and coordinated care. Patients with poly trauma may suffer head injuries, spinal injuries, chest and abdominal trauma, fractures, internal bleeding, and soft tissue damage simultaneously.

Symptoms

Patients may present with severe pain, bleeding, fractures, head injury, breathlessness, loss of consciousness, shock, and multiple organ injuries.

Diagnosis includes rapid clinical assessment, vital monitoring, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound (FAST), blood tests, and other emergency investigations to detect life-threatening injuries.
