Urology is a specialized branch of medicine that deals with diseases of the urinary tract in both males and females, as well as the male reproductive system. Urological problems affect the urinary system and may cause burning during urination, frequent urination, blood in urine, lower abdominal pain, difficulty passing urine, incontinence, and flank pain.
Diagnosis includes medical history, physical examination, urine tests, blood tests, ultrasound, CT scan, cystoscopy, and other imaging studies to identify urinary tract or kidney disorders.
