The spine is a vital part of the human body that supports posture, protects the spinal cord, and allows movement such as bending and twisting.
Spine care focuses on disorders of the cervical (neck), thoracic (upper back), lumbar (lower back), sacral, and coccygeal regions. Common spine-related conditions include back pain, slipped (herniated) discs, sciatica, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, spondylosis, spinal injuries, and infections.
Spine disorders may cause back or neck pain, stiffness, muscle spasms, numbness, tingling, weakness, difficulty in movement, and pain radiating to arms or legs.
Diagnosis involves clinical examination, posture assessment, X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and nerve conduction studies to identify disc, nerve, or spinal problems.
